![]() AmblesideAmbleside is located within the Lake District National Park. The town is a great base for visiting some of the country's most spectacular scenery. Bridge HouseBridge House is one of the most recognisable and well known buildings in Ambleside and Cumbria. It was built over Stock Ghyll more than 300 years ago and is beleived to have been as a summer house and apple store for Ambleside Hall. In 1926 the locals of the town bought the building and gave it to the National Trust. The house is now used by the National Trust as an information centre and small gift shop.
