Morecambe

Morecambe was founded in 1889 when the three villages of Bare, Poulton-le-Sands and Torrisholme united and became known as Morecambe.

A Popular Holiday Destination

Morecambe became best known as a traditional UK seaside town in the mid-twentieth century with most of it's visitors coming from the North Est, and between 1956 and 1989 it was the even home to the Miss Great Britain beauty contest.
